Sweep Picking Basics by Michael Angelo Batio

Study the fundamental techniques of sweep picking in this free lesson with tab and video from Michael Angelo Batio. The definition of an arpeggio is “a broken chord”. Instead of being played all at once, or simultaneously, the notes of the chord are played one after another, in succession. You can hear arpeggiated chords in the song “The House of the Rising Sun”. We will use the same principle, but with a “shred” approach.
