Exercise 3 – Metal Rhythm Guitar
This is an excellent, pedal-point rhythm exercise. This style is very popular in today’s heavy driving rhythm guitar. The exercise is from Will Flaherty’s Metal Rhythm Extreme program the ultimate metal rhythm guitar program.

Metal Rhythm Extreme
With Metal Rhythm Extreme learn to play through changing tempos and time signatures. Use natural, artificial and pinch harmonics to add spice to riffs. Use large interval chords for Metalcore style breakdowns in the style of Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage and others. Practice moving pedal tones in the style of All That Remains.
