Okay, after much debate on which MM lessons I should order I chose Sarah’s 100 Metal Riffs. I must say this is the best course I’ve seen in a long time. There’s lots of other lessons along these lines out there for purchase but they tend to be artist specific. This is jam packed with riffs from all over the place! And they all sound killer! I think a better title would have been “How to Sound Awesome when Jamming in a Guitar Store!” I’m not that way anymore but I can remember in my early days of playing feeling a bit small in comparison to some of the guys jamming on a instrument they might buy. Rip off a few of the riffs on here and you’ll be standing tall with them. It’s short and to the point. Also Sarah doesn’t waste valuable time chatting over the riffs. She gives an introduction at the first and then the rest is just playing instruction. I take about one riff a day and work with it. Even novice players in the MM basic course can handle this stuff. If you want to take your playing to a whole new level of awesome (as far as the casual listeners are concerned) then I would order these. You’ll sound impressive in no time. Wish I had these years ago!
